2020: Look Ahead!!

See this social icon list in the original post

2020 has been a difficult year for many people; "stay home" has become a frequently repeated mantra. Many of you don’t like to hear those words, but staying home has saved many of you from the pains of COVID-19.  Let's face it, there's been challenges for many to pay bills on time, social distance from loved ones, remote work, even to educate children from home.

Considering the climate of social distancing, it's a good time to reevaluate goals for the remainder of the year. Take a pulse of where you are with your life; spiritual, social, relationships, and financial.

Think about it!!!

And Your Spirit Says:

Your spiritual life is one of the most important aspects of your existence. Check in with your heavenly Father. Are you praying, studying the Word, and listening? Since you're socially distancing, why not take the time to watch the sun rise or set. Then take the time to thank God for life. Reconnect with your church and if you don't have one, consider looking for one. Connect with the Church services on social media, it's a great way to keep your Spirit fed.

Socially Social Distancing:

Just because everyone is being instructed to socially distance does not mean you have to be socially distant. Think parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, business partners, clients, and social media friends.

It's a great time to check in with those you haven't talked with in a while. Imagine the joy you can spread to others who may be feeling alone. Or regain your strength of will, commitment and fortitude to push forward. Use wisdom when connecting. Maintain distance as needed, use your mask if you meet in person as needed, or just pick up the phone and call, text, or use video conferencing.

Relationships can't maintain themselves:

When you've been "stuck" in the house with the same people for months, the relationships can become "strained." Consider taking an in place break…kinda like a staycation. You could always agree to a half day, a full day, or even days of fun, pampering, or even quiet time. Whatever state of mind you're in, if it's not working for you all, then try the opposite.  Be kind and considerate. It goes so much further than the alternative.

Finances, finances, finances:

Money woes can be the worst for individuals and couples. You can circumvent the difficulties by remembering that your finances are not the totality of your existence. Granted they are pretty crucial especially when the phone calls, emails, and text messages can be nonstop if you're payments behind.

A few suggestions to help lighten the emotional and relationship tolls due to limited finances. 1st breathe. Take a few deep breathes before communicating with your loved ones or even when dealing with the finances if you’re single. Remember that your loved ones are not to be punished for the limits on finances, whether do to COVID-19 or some other reason.

Consider taking on side gigs, freelance work, or even starting a part time business for additional income. Respect yourself, your family, and friends with the way you speak, interact, and even with no response. Remember this time will pass; you want it to end with no regrets. Choose wisely!!

On the other side of it all!

2020 may have been a difficult year, so far. Make the commit to strengthen your life over the next few months. Create new and better memories. Make the remainder of 2020 the best half of the 1st year of this new decade. You can do it!!!

Live Inspired!!
